From inception the focus of Kenthurst Galleries director and founder Eddi Jennings has been to encourage an awareness of the value and importance of art within the community by encouraging and assisting art lovers to put together valuable collections and acquiring particular pieces for existing collections.
For over twenty eight years the galleries have acted as a de-facto regional gallery exhibiting a broad range of established and emerging artists. The galleries have been regularly attended by school students and art groups as well as drawing visitors Australia--wide and from overseas.
Situated on one and a half acres and just 35 minutes by car from the Sydney CBD visitors to the galleries can expect a warm welcome, easy parking and amazing collections for sale hanging throughout the six exhibiting spaces which frame a tranquil reflecting pool for sculpture. There are artworks for enjoyment and investment, for home and corporate situations. We are open Saturday and Sunday 11 - 4 and always happy to open by appointment mid-week.
Jennings says her success as an art dealer particularly through recent difficult economic times is largely due to her knowledge of the art market and her ability to source quality works. Recognising a good painting is an important strength for any dealer researching talented emerging artists and should not be taken for granted. As well as having almost three decades experience in the art market, Jennings studied visual art and design as part of her degree course and is also a painter in her own right. These achievements have given her a good understanding of technique, narrative and through interpretation of the artworks, some insights into the artists’ psyches – information which art lovers crave.
